I Am…….

Brian HS VofF

I am inspired regularly by people who I know and have trained with a long time, people I have just met and people whom I may not have met but some thing they showed or wrote had an effect on me. (and many, many more)  Whatever inspires me is very beneficial to my martial experience.  For instance I was reading someones blog the other day and what they wrote had a profound effect on me.  Which I in turn utilized to fuel a grueling several hour training session.   The kind of session that ends up with me looking for a bucket and several hours of recuperation is needed to get back to normal.  This persons blog really helped me to be motivated and also gave me insight into their training.  You see I am fascinated with how other people not only train but how their training in turn affects them in a positive manner!  Now I am not easily inspired by just anyone so naturally I cherish things that touch me and help me on this physical, mental and spiritual journey in the Martial Sciences.  To be inspired one needs to just look deep and be open-minded in this martial journey.  Early on in your training it is easy to be inspired because everything is new.  Later in the midpoint of your training inspiration happens regularly but maybe not quite as easily.  When you are a veteran inspiration can happen less so you need to make sure you are open to it and allow it to happen.  Because it can be all around you!  You just have to find what works for you.  I am inspired regularly by other IRT practitioners, teachers whom I meet and train with, the written words of other people.  Find your path and allow yourself to be inspired along the way.  It may in turn make your progression in the Martial Sciences that much easier!
