Watch your six… What does that mean. It simply means to watch your back. Know who is behind you and do not let someone behind you that you cannot trust. At home I can relax and let my family go behind my back. On the street or at work I do not have that luxury. I constantly have to make sure that people are not walking up behind me where I could be in for a surprise. Watching your back and knowing where people are around you is very important. It speaks to a level of awareness that is effective and efficient for personal protection. Out there in the world you need to have a level of awareness that allows you to know who is around you and where they are in relative to your position. Your back, your six is a blind spot that you have to guard. By knowing this you can eliminate many opportunities for a blind side by proper positioning and or placing some thing at your back so that to it is even harder for someone to get behind you. I use that at every opportunity that I can. So be aware and watch your six! You won’t be disappointed with the results.
